The faculty offers students of the last year a full-time bachelor studies as an alternative to the preparation of a bachelor thesis to complete an individual professional practice with the following conditions:
- The individual professional practice is provided by the student himself/herself, as well as other requirements related to the practice. The faculty does not enter into a contractual relationship between the company and the student, but approves the suitability of the chosen professional practice. The type of employment contract concluded and the amount of remuneration are entirely at the discretion of the company (employer).
- The company will provide the faculty with basic information via the NETFEI information system: company name, field of activity of the company, contact person (name, e-mail, phone number) and company website. It will also provide the field of activity, job description, place of practice, number of places offered to students and their consultants (name, e-mail, telephone number).
- The study programme sponsor approves the suitability of the company and the professionalism of the position, which the student can subsequently choose for the internship. If the company is interested in the student, the faculty undertakes (with the student's consent) to provide the company with information about the student's course of study.
- The student (within the framework of the Bachelor's Project/Seminar 1 and 2 courses) will complete an individual professional practice in the chosen company for a minimum of 50 days. The student will complete this minimum period of internship during the two semesters (winter, summer) of the final year; the timetable provides the student with Thursdays and Fridays off during the semester.
- Completion of the internship is documented by the company's confirmation of the number of days worked each semester. A minimum of 20 days worked is required to be documented for one of the semesters, and the total of both semesters must be at least 50 worked days. Standard working hours are assumed.
- The student finishes the internship by preparing a bachelor’s thesis (according to the prescribed outline of the thesis which includes, among other things, a statement of the representative of the cooperating person, a list of tasks assigned by the company to the student, their subsequent solution and a description of the acquired knowledge and skills).
- The consultant from the company prepares an evaluation of the bachelor thesis in the scope and structure given by the faculty. The evaluation is carried out through the EDISON information system.
