Summary
The project deals with development, implementation and application of new efficient algorithms for solving contact problems and contact shape optimization. These algorithms will be based on the dual variational formulation in terms of contact stresses on contact interfaces. The aims of the project are to develop new efficient algorithms for solving problems with guaranteed convergence, to introduce non-matching grids, to test the efficiency of these algorithms in model problems, including problems with Coulomb friction in 2D and 3D, and to introduce an adaptive approach for a better identification of active contact parts. The project includes the comprehensive analysis of shape optimization problems exploiting theoretically supported algorithms for their realization, including the convergence analysis between numerical solutions and solutions of original engineering problems.
