Title
Strukturní a fyzikální aspekty inverzních Heuslerových slitin Mn2FeZ, Z = Si, Al, Sn
Code
GA21-05339S
Summary
The Heusler alloys form a large and special class of binary, ternary, and quaternary materials located at the border between compounds and alloys combining their unique electronic and physical properties. The variety of properties is derived from the chemical compositions and structural imperfections on the atomic scale and from topology including topological metals with Weyl and Dirac points, a variety of non-collinear spin textures or giant anomalous Hall effects in antiferromagnetic Heusler alloys. The project description is to investigate the structure-property relationship of new MnFeCrAl Heusler alloys produced by conventional arc and induction melting. The effect of changing the ratio between Mn and Fe, the time and temperature of the annealing and the pressure-induced defects on the alloy behavior are the main tasks of the project. The selected results obtained by the bulk and surface sensitive experimental methods at room, low and elevated temperatures will be correlated with the theoretical calculations.
