Journal Club offered an introduction to quantum computing

A glimpse into the fascinating world of quantum computing was offered by a lecture by Professor Siddharth Bhattacharyya, who was the guest of the next FEECS Journal Club at FEECS.

Professor Bhattacharyya, who is now a Senior Research Fellow at our Faculty, is one of the acknowledged experts in the fields of quantum computing, hybrid intelligence, pattern recognition and data processing. He has received many prestigious awards and is an active member of many international professional societies.
In his talk "Quantum Computing: A Gentle Introduction", he introduced the world of quantum computing, the basic building blocks of quantum computing such as quantum bits (qubits), their properties, quantum gates and phenomena such as superposition, entanglement and measurement. He also presented an overview of multilevel quantum systems involving qutrits and qudits.
The next FEECS Journal Club meeting will be held on April 29. This time, you will have the opportunity
to visit the research labs of each department and see where cutting-edge research is being conducted.
