Doc. Ing. Jan Fulneček, Ph.D. is a graduate of Electrical Power Engineering. Since 2018, he has been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering, where he focuses on high voltage technology. In his opinion, what is the most difficult part of being a teacher? "In every lecture, the most difficult thing for me is to find a way to engage students and keep their attention, because the material discussed is often complicated and not interesting for students. Of course, I could just give a machine-like explanation of the subject matter, but the students would take nothing away from the lecture. It would be a waste of my time and theirs," says the teacher, who was very pleased with the students' appreciation. "I would like to thank my students for it. And I secretly hope it means I helped them better understand the issues in their field of study."
New associate professors were also introduced at the Scientific Council meeting, receiving their appointment decrees from the FEI: Assoc. Ing. Petr Bernat, Ph.D. (Department of Electrical Power Engineering), Assoc. Hossein Barghi Jond, Ph.D. (Department of Computer Science) and Assoc. Ing. Marcel Fajkus, Ph.D. (Department of Telecommunication Engineering).
