VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava is a university with more than 100 years of tradition and experience in education and training of excellent specialists not only in classical scientific fields, but also in fields subject to the latest trends in science and technology. VŠB-TUO is a dynamically developing world-class university with broad links to industrial partners and foreign research institutes.
Biomedical Engineering has been taught at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of VŠB-TUO since 1993 and more than 240 students have graduated. Its graduates have successfully applied in medical practice, holding important positions in medical institutions and companies operating in the field not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad.
