Study

Teaching and other activities of the department are now conducted in one of the most modern university buildings in the country. It offers not only high-quality and modern facilities, but also a pleasant environment for teaching, studying, and meeting. The Department has 10 computer rooms with more than 200 computers, which are prepared for both common use (programming, database management, software design, etc.) and specialized teaching using the latest parallelization and graphic applications. Teaching also takes place in several other classrooms with multimedia equipment and, of course, modern lecture rooms with a capacity of up to 200 students. In addition, university facilities are also used, especially lecture rooms with capacities of up to 450 students.

In addition to teaching facilities, the department has several dozen offices, a fully multimedia meeting room and 9 specialized laboratories. These laboratories are equipped with the necessary equipment and technologies, not only to support teaching, but also for the needs of the scientific research activities of the members of the department.

The Department of Computer Science offers a variety of professional focuses and topics that students may encounter. These are topics that form the focus not only of teaching but also of the scientific research activities of the department's staff. Collectively, the individual topics can be summarized in several groups covering different technologies and perspectives.
