The project addresses the development of equipment for quality control of rolled metal strip with regard to unwanted and micrometer holes in the metal strip, produced at high speeds. Especially in the production of food packaging materials or metal strips for the production of batteries, any opening is a defect that makes the final product unusable. Early on-line detection of even small holes during the production of metal strip ensures monitoring of production technology in cold rolling mills to increase the quality of produced metal strips. Accurate detection of the location of defects will allow accurate cutting of defective parts on the dividing lines to exclude from further processing into the final product.
